Front Porch Crafts is owned and operated by Becky & Jackie Gray. The store is located at 403 Shewey Ave. Horse Cave, KY. Our combination of warehouse and store was built in May of 2006. Becky has been painting for over 25 years on all types of surfaces. In the mid 90's a friend gave her a box of egg gourds to use for painting Christmas ornaments for stocking stuffers for her children, nieces, nephews, and friends. Well...she was hooked! She soon became a 'gourd head', searching everywhere she went for more gourds. The following spring she and her husband were planting gourds in their garden and watching them take over one whole side of their garden.

Front Porch Crafts became a business in 2000 with Becky working full time at a local lumber and hardware store. For the next few years Becky and Jackie continued to increase their business by going to local festival and arts & crafts shows. Soon their painted and crafted gourds were in such demand that it became a full time job.
In the winter of 2003 Becky quit her public job and turned to her business full time. With Jackie growing, gathering, washing, cutting, cleaning out gourds and making woven baskets from the gourds and Becky painting, carving, wood burning, giving painting classes, now both are staying busy.

Jackie and Becky are members of The Kentucky Gourd Society, The Tennessee Gourd Society, The American Gourd Society and Kentucky Proud.
